Visit to Tomb of Rameses I , KV16 (E20/25)

 

After KV62 & KV11 the next tomb that I am visiting is KV16.

KV16 was used for the burial of Pharaoh Ramesses I of the 19th Dynasty.

The painted decoration may have suffered from floods and paint has flaked off.

The size of the room seem small and the sarcophagus with its rounded lid occupies a great part of it. 

The very colourful aspect of the walls are in a good state.
