Pyramids at Giza (E25/25)

Is almost the end of my Egypt trip and the best is yet to come. After weeks of traveling around from Cairo to Aswan and back to Cairo and then Giza before my flight out of Egypt the next day.

It was late afternoon and we have less than 2 hours to cover such a big area and an most important one.
After watching so many movies in theatre and documentaries on TV, I finally made my way here.
Frontal view of The Great Sphinx of Giza.
The Great Sphinxa is a limestone statue of a mythical creature with the head of a human, and the body of a lion.
The face of the Sphinx appears to represent the Pharaoh Khafre.
The biggest Egyptian pyramid and the tomb of Fourth Dynasty pharaoh Khufu no other than The Great Pyramid of Giza.
Standing at close to 150m above ground, this certainly is the ancient highest man made structure and is still standing.
Camel as porter and transportation for tourists - a common scene around pyramids.
The pyramid appear golden in colour under the setting sun even without its original white casing.
I don't have enough time to enter the pyramid so I just walk around the pyramid and observing it from different angles.

Another shot of The Great Pyramid of Giza with the camel caravan passing below.
A final good look at this oldest manmade structure as we making our way out before the closing of visit in preparation for the lights show later.
Pyramids with the golden setting sun at the back.

Whether day or night, the pyramis are equally charming. This conclude my Egypt trip, a dream come true for me😊
