After the awesome experience with the owl, my next destination is Krabi. Famous for its beautiful beaches and water sports. A very popular short get away destination.
While on our way to Krabi, saw an elephant on the truck. This must be one of the elephant that lost its freedom to the many tourist that visits Krabi for the elephant show or worse rides.
The lamp post here are all decorated with White-bellied Sea Eagle. This must be one of the very common eagle here in Krabi.
Another big sculpture of Krabi that not to be missed is this giant mud crab. Since Krabi is situated at the mouth of Krabi River, which also means it is just next to huge mangroves forest where mud crabs are found. A very suitable sculpture for this place.
Talking about mangroves, this is where I am headed. A small board walk just outside the busy Krabi town.
The visitors can get real close to the mangroves with this concrete boardwalk.

A not so common Brown Winged Kingfisher. I was hoping to see Ruddy kingfisher, I keep hearing their call but none of them willing to be photographed. Either too high up or deep in the forest.
Without the Ruddy Kingfisher, I will use this Mangrove Pitta to end this post. Mangrove pitta from Krabi mangrove forest... :)
