Hard Working Eurasian Tree Sparrow
Eurasian Tree Sparrow (Passer montanus) is another resident bird of Singapore. a very common bird that can be found in garden and in some housing estate.
Saw this pair of sparrow at Singapore Botanic Garden, a very hard working pair actively mating. If everything goes well, the population should increase in a month time!

Waxbill of Singapore
Waxbills are estrildid finches (Family: Estrildidae)that are not native to Singapore. These are small and brightly coloured songbirds, popularly sought after as cage birds. They are African in origin and are brought here by the bird trade. and believed are released during certain religious festivals. They are now not difficult to find in empty grassland at various part of Singapore, such as Lorong Halus.

What impact they posed to native birds remained unknown, nevertheless they are beautiful subject to photograph...
and video too! Have fun with this short clip by Black-rumped Waxbill (E. troglodytes)!
