Waxbill of Singapore

Waxbills are estrildid finches (Family: Estrildidae)that are not native to Singapore. These are small and brightly coloured songbirds, popularly sought after as cage birds. They are African in origin and are brought here by the bird trade. and believed are released during certain religious festivals. They are now not difficult to find in empty grassland at various part of Singapore, such as Lorong Halus.

What impact they posed to native birds remained unknown, nevertheless they are beautiful subject to photograph...

Predawn Trip To Changi

It was almost a year since I last visited this place during pre dawn timing! As usual, this place always surprise me with lots of creatures!

I'll let the photo do the talking...
 There are several types of sea cucumber such as these brown & pink in colour
 Olive snail that is also expert in burrowing
 Hermit crab
 Another expert in burrowing - Pebble crab
 I saw lots of Sand dollars that are in Pink!!
 Sea hare are in season now...they are everywhere too!
