Crows Harassing Peregrine Falcon

HY & me went to Chinese Garden on New Year Day, 01-01-2013 for birding. While we were looking at the sunbirds, HY saw a rather large bird perch on a tall Casuarina tree.

Upon a closer look, it was a Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus). We watch it for more than 10 minutes and I know the crows will sure to find it and mobs it since there are crows in the garden.

Is quite common to see flock of crows harass larger birds i.e. raptors. However, this is the first time seeing crows change their tactic of harassment.
True enough, a flock of house crow spotted the Peregrine Falcon & take turn to harass it and to try to chase it away.
One crow at a time will fly pass and dive down near the falcon to try and chase it away.

The Peregrine Falcon just ignore the crows but on a vigilant look out.
When the Peregrine Falcon refuse to move, the crow grab the tip of the branch that the Peregrine Falcon perched on and try to shake it off.
The Peregrine Falcon finally lose balance and is forced to move from the comfort perch.
The crows chase the Peregrine Falcon for a short distance before they split and go their own way.

Well, I must say that I'm impressed! Crow indeed are quite an intelligent birds that can react to different challenges.
